Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The kids in my program are typically seen as the "others." They typically do not fit in a typical classroom. They are creative and learn differently. They are "doers" and "makers." Through using art in the classroom they can draw and paint their way into learning larger concepts. This will allow them to learn in a way that makes sense to them. We need headphones, oil-pastel colors, canvas, and watercolor pencils.

They often do not get the chance to have nicer things or good supplies.

Most people don't take these kids seriously or believe they have much to offer. I think these kids are our future just as much as the next kid. They will just get to that future in a different way.

You donations will go a long way to allowing these kids to grow and have a bright future.
