I teach 2nd grade at a rural, Title I school. We are a Community Eligibility school that allows all students to receive free breakfast and lunch each day.
I want to create a positive, calm, and organized atmosphere for my students to help make our classroom a place they enjoy coming to each day!
Our school community feels like a family, and all members encourage students to come to school eager and ready to learn each day. My students show up to school with enthusiasm and excitement for learning, and I hope to continue their love of learning throughout this school year!
By using tables instead of standard desks, students are able to practice skills that help with cooperative learning as well as working independently. In the past, we have used buckets on the tables to help keep students organized. While they did a great job, they took up the majority of the space on their tables, and we need a solution that is better suited for primary learners.
Having chair pockets keeps their supplies and materials close by, but off of their workspace!
With chair pockets, my students won't have to waste precious time walking across the room for materials, or take up limited table space with bulky storage.
