Help me give my students social-emotional learning books and social-emotional games that turn counseling groups into meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that build self-regulation, communication, and confidence.

My Project

These books and games will be used across four different social-emotional learning groups serving 24 students, as well as in individual counseling sessions, allowing them to positively impact many more students beyond the initial groups. This means the materials will continue to support students throughout the school year in both group and one-on-one settings.

Every student participating in these groups and counseling sessions is a student with autism, making engaging, hands-on, and visually supportive materials essential—not optional—for meaningful learning.

These books and games have been carefully selected with my students in mind. I have seen firsthand how much more successful students are when learning feels interactive, motivating, and meaningful.

These materials will help students learn to identify and express their emotions, practice coping strategies, and build essential social skills in a safe and supportive environment. By using these tools consistently across settings, students will have repeated opportunities to practice and generalize their social-emotional skills to all areas of the classroom, including peer interactions, transitions, and academic tasks.

With these engaging and exciting resources, my students will be able to build confidence, independence, and emotional understanding—skills that will support them not only during social-emotional groups, but throughout their entire school day and beyond.
