Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My students would LOVE to have more big books to choose from during our reading block. I teach Kindergarten in a high poverty public school with limited engaging materials.

My students are emerging readers who unfortunately only have the option of choosing big books from our core reading program. They would love to choose from an assortment of big book titles.

"I've already read that book!” say my students when I show them to our big book literacy station. They are interested in reading books and I would like to entice them with a bigger selection of BIG books.

Your generous gift would grab and keep my students high interest in reading. They are emerging readers who can really benefit from having new books to read.
