My students need a big book center and Wikki sticks to store and display our stories in a way that all can see.

My Students

Our school day begins with the motto, "If you can READ, you can SUCCEED." This is easily understood, but not always easily accomplished. The children in my class have unique learning styles that must be addressed in all subjects. They have learning styles that require creative presentations of subject matter.

As a classroom teacher, I am constantly looking for interesting and exciting ways to make learning fun.

The use of technology and interactive materials will help assure academic success for all students while encouraging learning.

My Project

Big books are a great shared reading opportunity for all students. I use these great stories to model fluency and comprehension. Big books can be too big at times. When holding them I cannot easily point out important information or turn the page. A Big Book Easel center will allow me to present these strategies and stories to my classroom in an effective way.

Wiki Sticks are an imaginative way to single out important text.

These sticky sticks can be used to circle important events and vocabulary right on the page of the big books. This easel and Wiki Sticks will help me to chart and display information on the white board as well as raise the story to a level that all eyes can see. This easel will also assist in the storage of these books. These big books create big learners and need to be seen.
