Help me give my students a big book storage as an accommodation to have a place where the book will not get bent up and help them to clean-up independently.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a Title I school in North Carolina and many of my students are at risk of academic failure. This is many of my students' first time in a school setting. The early learners in my class are more interested in the process of discovering and manipulating materials than the final products of their experiments.
Learning experiences are meaningful and relevant for every child and reflect his or her developmental, cultural, and individual circumstances.
My students love to move and be active. However, because of recent budget cuts, we are unable to purchase additional resources such as the ones requested.
My Project
My students will be able to use the big books independently if we had a big book storage I currently store them in a cubby and the children are not allowed in the cubbies through the day. I want the big books to be more accessible to them when they want to read with a buddy or as a class on the carpet.
This project will help all of my preschoolers have access to quality literature through engaging big books.
They will have the opportunity to develop stronger concepts of print, develop new vocabulary and be will engaged learners! Thank you donors in advance for making out dream come true!
