My students need 30 copies of "Amelia Bedelia", "Pickles To Pittsburgh", and "Dinner with Olivia" to read each day during our 90 minute literacy lesson and take a copy home each week for homework.

My Students

Remember what it was like to find a storybook that you couldn't wait to read each time you went to the library. Through the use of this project, we will be able to provide a library each week to our students!

Our students are at risk students with many homes that cannot provide the opportunity for students to have these types of storybooks brought home each week.

We are a public school with little extra funding to support school projects. We are looking for unique ways to provide our students with enriching literature to promote literacy at school and home.

My Project

These resources will provide our students with the exciting opportunity to go beyond the textbook and bring different types of literature to the classroom and their homes. Many of our students go home each week, and don't get the opportunity to read storybooks with a parent, grandparent, or sibling. Through this project we would be providing the opportunity for each student to take a book home on Thursday night for a reading assignment, but this assignment would be promoting all types of reading in the schools and at home.

Through the help of donors we can provide exciting literature to each of our students everyday in a variety of ways to make reading an exciting adventure for our current students and our future students!
