This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a wonderful group of students who works extremely hard at learning to read. They spend most of their day learning letter sounds and sight words, and the majority of reading is done at their desk.
My students would benefit from having a learning area where they can unplug and unwind with a book.
Having a library seating area to sit and immerse in a book would reflect the importance of literacy in the classroom beyond the desk. This area would be a place where students can build a love of reading.
