My Students

I am a first grade teacher in an Elementary K-2 grade school. I have 21 students with wide variety of needs. More than one-third of my students are from low-income households.

In order to accommodate all of all the learning styles in my room, I would like to have a few differentiated seating areas for the students that have difficulties sitting in traditional school chairs.

First grade is so important and I want my students to get the best start in their academic career!

My Project

Some kids just can't sit still. It's impossible to concentrate on academics when they don't have the best tools for them to be their best. These chairs will make a difference because some of my students simply cannot sit still. Plus, the wobble chairs help keep kids safe that would otherwise be tipping their chair backwards.

Wobble chairs provide a great way for students to use their bodies and be able to concentrate on the hard work of school safely.

These chairs will be put to use immediately and will continue to provide differentiated seating for years to come for future students.
