In the past, our older incubators were unreliable and even broke down mid‑hatch, leaving our students disappointed and limiting their learning. This new incubator changed everything. With steady temperature and humidity control, we finally had peace of mind—and our students were able to experience a successful, healthy hatch from start to finish.\r\nInstead of worrying about equipment failure, we were able to focus on curiosity, observation, and joyful discovery. The excitement in the room as the chicks began to pip and hatch was unforgettable. This project brought science to life in a way that felt magical for our young learners.\r\nOur kindergarteners learned so much throughout this experience. They explored the life cycle of a chicken, practiced making predictions, and recorded daily observations as scientists. They gained new vocabulary, strengthened their understanding of how living things grow and change, and developed empathy and responsibility as they cared for the eggs and newly hatched chicks. Most importantly, they experienced the joy of hands‑on learning—watching a real‑life miracle unfold right before their eyes. We are deeply grateful to our incredibly generous donor for making this possible.
