Better Bows, Better Sound: Upgrading Our Strings Experience

Help me give my students new violin and viola bows to replace our worn-out ones. These bows will help students produce a clearer tone, better technique, and stronger ensemble playing as they continue to grow as musicians.

My Project

My students are full of excitement and potential. They come to class eager to play, learn, and sound better every day. Many of them are learning an instrument for the first time, and they’ve made incredible progress despite working with older, worn-out equipment. Their passion for music shines through even when their tools don’t always cooperate, and I want to give them the quality they deserve.

This project will allow us to replace the "threadbare" bows that have been used well past their prime.

With new violin, viola, and cello bows, students will immediately hear and feel the difference, producing a cleaner sound, improving bow control, and developing stronger technique. These upgrades are essential for building confidence and enhancing the musicality of our entire ensemble. With better tools, my students can focus on making music and continuing their growth.
