Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Children are amazing storytellers. I am looking to add some felt stories to our classroom to enrich the library area. In children, storytelling provides many psychological and educational benefits, such as enhanced imagination to help visualize spoken words, improved vocabulary, communication, and social skills.

Stories also teach children to identify different types of emotions, building their emotional literacy as they often develop empathy for one or more characters in the story.

Storytelling also opens children's minds to other cultures. it develops the inner world of imagination and creative thinking. Children tap into their imagination and creative thinking.

I am also asking for dramatic play items to add to our kitchen, the children love playing house and would love to add babies to the area.

The magnets and playstix will help the children use their imaginations for building. They can be very creative and at times we don't have enough supplies for all the children.
