Ms. Ward from Louisville KY is requesting supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a stable writing center in order to do the all the creative things that they do.

Our students are in the Head start program based off their income. It is for low income based students. Many do not get to have experiences at home that they have in our classroom and look forward to coming to school. For some children Head start is their first experience in being around other children and learning social, physical and cognitive skills.
They enjoy learning new things when they come to school.
They like drawing pictures, writing letters and journals and being able to cut, trace and put letters in their play mailbox. The children will use this writing station to help identify their letters and numbers and words, create their own work, have space to store their work for another time, and be able to use more writing center materials with This organized desk. This writing station is important to them to have in our classroom. We are like family so I want to make it a creative and fun experience.

The children like writing their letters, cutting, being creative with art and listening to stories. They love using dry erase markers and writing on whiteboards. They role play as if they were teachers while using the boards. We would love to have these items in out class to use.
