This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are such an amazing group of little learners! They are curious, kind, and so much fun to be with as they explore the wonderful world of second grade. Their smiles and laughter make me the luckiest teacher ever!

I feel so incredibly lucky and thankful to spend my first year teaching with my amazing group of 2nd graders!

Each student in my classroom absolutely loves learning and books! For many of my students, gathering together as a community on our classroom rug for our morning meetings, story-time, and group projects is their favorite part of the day!

My students love to give hugs, high fives, and excitedly share their stories and learning with one another and me! They are kind to one another, with everyone being friends who love to work with one another and play together during recess.

I work at a Title I-funded school where all of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students have unlimited potential, and I work as hard as I can to give them the education they deserve!

My Project

This is my first year teaching, and I couldn't be more excited to set up my 2nd grade classroom!

This mini-fridge would be perfect for storing healthy snacks for students and keeping students' lunches from home cool.

In addition, I have several students who often arrive late to class and miss our school's free breakfast. This mini-fridge would be perfect for storing breakfast for them.

Many of my students come from poverty, so they would benefit from having a healthy snack to keep their focus on learning instead of their growling stomachs.
