My Project
I have a class full of energetic, enthusiastic, and amazing students! Our school is a Title I school where most students come from low-income or poverty-stricken homes or may live in a motel. All of the students receive free lunch. Most are English Language Learners, while some have special needs. These students come to school eager to learn every day with big smiles on their faces, regardless of their circumstances!
This project consists of stuffed animals that will become my students' behavior buddies!
Classroom management systems are effective at managing student behavior and learning because they sustain an orderly learning environment for students. They enhance students' academic skills and competencies and further their social and emotional development. I wanted to try a different classroom management system that focuses on positive behavior. Each buddy represents different positive behaviors that I want my students to exhibit.
Each Behavior Buddy comes with its own set of expectations. Students who follow these expectations get to have an animal on their desks for the day. The kids never know who will be chosen, so they always need to follow the rules! My students will be very motivated by these special friends.
I really want to create a positive learning environment, and I believe that these buddies will help with that. By donating to our project, you will help me be able to connect with my students on a social-emotional level, and you will support me with my classroom management. Thank you!
