My Students

My students are SO excited and energetic about learning. Whether it is through reciting poems, asking questions about the books we read, or moving around through hands-on activities, my students are always willing and wanting to learn new things!

These kindergarteners have shown much enthusiasm for discovering new ideas and then sharing that information with all those around them through movement, stories, and song.

They love showing encouragement for each other in whatever the job is and, most importantly, they NEVER GIVE UP!

My Project

When it comes to teaching reading, students need lots of practice, reinforcement and ways to check their understanding. One such way is through hands on activities that are both engaging, fun and reinforce what is being taught in the classroom.

By using these CVC learning centers with my students, they will be able to practice the skills they've been learning on their own and have a way to check their understanding.

The more ways my students can practice reading simple words, the quicker they can be ready for the next steps of reading! I can use these activities in my small groups as well to enhance student understanding and set them up for success when they try them on their own.
