Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My third-grade students are curious boys and girls who attend a school that is unique in that it serves kindergarten through eighth-grade students. This age span at our school makes the transition from 5th grade to middle school so much easier for the students and allows them to keep lasting relationships with classmates and support staff.
My students come to learn and progress in all they do in class.
They practice the 7 Habits of Happy Kids on a daily basis by setting goals, being in charge of themselves, synergizing to get things done, and having time set aside to relax in preparation for the days ahead.
My Project
My students begin lessons and are given assignments on day one of the new school year. They write a lot and need a reliable pencil sharpener that works! They begin note taking and will be in need of composition notebooks to keep their notes and new learning in order. Highlighters add that extra touch and fun when working in class on assignments.
All these supplies are needed and necessary to help our day run smoothly and to teach organization skills from day one.
Each school supply that we can get in our students' hands will support their love of learning.
