Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students surprise me each and every day. Being a second-year teacher, my eyes have been opened to the reality of their lives. My kids and I have developed a relationship where they can confide in me without a problem. They have stability with me, which is something they need the most. They know when they come to school every day that they are safe and loved. They get up each and every morning with a smile on their face, knowing I will be there to welcome them. Despite all their other troubles, they still have that passion and drive to learn.

My Project

My students need headphones in order to complete their independent computer-based work. They are on their programs daily in all subjects! This helps them stay on task and gives them the ownership of a new item! This year, I am trying to buy sturdier ones, so that they last longer than one year.

My students and I need a learning environment that is best for their needs.

We need new bookshelves to organize all of the leveled books. Our shelves broke this year because they were used so much! In order to effectively organize it for them, I need sturdier equipment.
