This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year we switched to a different set of method books across all levels of our band program to better fit the needs of our musicians. These are the method books that we use daily in every class to help improve knowledge of core skills and improve group/ensemble sound so that we can play more advanced music at our yearly performances.

While we were able to buy enough for our students this year, we would love to have a class set so we can make copies for new students or use them as a reference when sharing books between levels.

We are also asking for more reeds as this is the most used consumable in our classroom. Clarinets and Saxophones make up half our program, and without reeds they would not be able to play their instruments.
