My Project

My young students need a variety of decodable books that they can read independently and feel confident in their reading ability. I have very few books in my classroom library for the children to choose that they are able to read independently. They want to read so badly, but most books are too hard for these beginning readers. We need the decodable book sets to give my kindergarten students more choice when it is reading time. The decodable book sets will be the first step in growing their love for reading.

Reading books are an important element to a kindergarten student's day.

These decodable book sets will promote reading in my classroom for all students. These decodable book sets will also enhance choice and confidence to complete a common goal of learning to read. These materials would be a great addition to my kindergarten classroom and give the students a new area to use their imagination and learn.
