My Project

Since the pandemic, all schools have had to create new ways of learning for in-person and distance options. We here at our system's alternative school are no different. We are in charge of students who because of rules violations, criminal issues and various other situations have been removed from the regular school setting. We serve our entire system. Basically, some of our computers have now begun to die because of age. Others had to be checked out for students who chose the virtual option. As any of you know, if your class depends on computers, you have to have them. As of now, all lessons in all of our classes at every system school is now virtual.

We are requesting three Chromebooks so that our students can stay in step with their peers at their regular schools.

While it is important that all students have what they need to learn, this is even more important for us because so many of them are behind and in some cases have given up on education. By having the proper materials, it will show our students that they were not thrown away just because of their mistakes that they made. Since so many of my students are special needs, it is very important that they do no fall any further behind. Please help us with this very needed project.
