Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As we prepare to clean up our native pollinator garden, we have noticed that our bee home is damaged. This bee home would hang in our native pollinator garden which is a perfect spot for nesting bees. This is our third year my K-2 students have been caring for our garden and this bee home will be a tremendous help.

In addition, all of the books listed are all approved by the National Science Teacher's Association to be scientifically accurate.

After attending a session at the Michigan Science Teacher's Association Conference, I have learned about many activities that I could use with these books to enhance our library and STEM classes. I know my students will love it!
