This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school serves students in grades 9 through 12. We have a high percentage of low-income students from various backgrounds. We have many beginning volleyball players, but our players are hard working and committed. We have several brand new players who are also very dedicated to learning the new skills associated with volleyball. They are all positive and encouraging to others. They are looking forward to building a successful volleyball program. Unfortunately, we do not have the appropriate equipment to help them reach their full potential. We are grateful for any donations.
My Project
Passing is the most basic fundamental volleyball skill. This donation to this project will help everyone on the team to become better passers. Without this donation, it will be very hard to train the players to become great passers in such a short amount of time. Many of my players do not begin playing volleyball until they enter high school, which puts them behind their peers at other schools. If players struggle with their passing then it will be hard to rally in a volleyball game. This training aid will help my players limit excessive arm movement and it will help them to have better posture.
