My Project

I teach 7th grade math at Betsy Ross Arts Magnet School in New Haven, Connecticut. I love both my job and my students; they each bring something unique to our classroom. For the past two years I have been trying to implement the tenets of the Thinking Classroom. My students need to work on their problem solving skills in small, cooperative groups. The program encourages teachers to use vertical white boards. They have found that students are more engaged when they are standing. I am trying to get 5 vertical white boards so that students can fully engage in their learning.
