Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students all become certified as Home Health Aides. Home Health Aides must be able to cook for their clients. The students follow my plate recommendations from the USDA to cook healthy and nutritious meals for their clients. We have a fully functioning kitchen to complete the Home Health Aide cooking project. Funding this project would afford my students the opportunity to experience and problem-solve real-life scenarios such as cooking a healthy meal for a client that would impact the client's health. At the moment students must bring from home supplies to complete this project and many students cannot afford or have these items. Having these items for our students would greatly help them achieve their Home Health Aide certification.
