My Project

In the neighborhood of Red Hook Brooklyn, food insecurity is a topic of discussion for many adults and students. The cost and scarcity of food in the area has tripled over the past 3 years. The snack pantry will continue to give students and their families hope when dealing with this crisis.

An afternoon snack is crucial for students who eat lite lunches or skip it all together to remain engaged in learning.

Over the years, we have learned that when students are not preoccupied by hunger, they are more likely to exhibit motivation, stay on task, and engage in their learning experience.

By donating to our snack pantry, you will help provide daily snacks to students as well as other members of the school community as they work together to achieve academic success.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
