Help me give my students the ability to print the many activities we create on the computer. They are always needing a copy of their resume, letter of recommendation, or scholarship application.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students attend an urban public school in Oklahoma that serves grades 7-12. 85% of our students receive a free or reduced-price lunch. My students represent a lower middle class area and most are in single parent homes or live with grandparents.
My students do not come with supplies and rely on the school for basic classroom needs.
We want our students to have equal access despite our inability to provide it. My students want to learn and we are responsible to provide the tools necessary to do so.
My Project
Not a glamorous or cool project but just what my class needs so I don't have to use my own money to buy it! I spend so much money on toner and drum kits for my printer each year. Students constantly need things printed and I am happy to oblige. This way I can print whatever they need without being concerned that we will run out before the end of the year. I also have two items listed that I will be using in my leadership class. If I can get these basic needs fulfilled I can focus on making my next project more lesson based.
