My Students

Many of my students come from unstructured homes, so I do my best to provide a clean, calm environment for them while they are at school. For some of my students, kindergarten is the first time they have had developmentally appropriate technology materials to use and explore.

My students have many opportunities to explore on their own and with peers, so they are ready to learn more about the subject matter we will engage in within our year together in Kindergarten.

My Project

"Look at my paper!" "Did I do a good job on my writing?" "Can I share my story with my friends?" My students are very social and love to share their work with me and with others. We have a smart board but iPads are not connected to it.

The iPad connected to a wall mounted tv in the classroom via Apple TV, would give my students a way to share what they worked on and get feedback from their peers.

This could be used across the curriculum with the many apps available for reading, math, and even story creator apps!!

Imagine the excitement of having a story you created come to life on a tv projecting your hard work, so that all your friends could see it!!! I hope to use the iPad and the Apple TV to enhance our learning and make it more exciting and meaningful.
