As most of my kids are college-bound, they are eager to be engaged and learn important skills provided by science. My students want and need the most relevant tools to use as they learn science.
They want to use and learn with the most relevant and current tools because they want to be ready for the world that awaits.
They are eager to collaborate, investigate, and to share their knowledge of the concepts being taught. Building a base of equipment to enhance STEM learning is a priority for not only me but them as well.
We are in a big city and a big school, but they love to connect in the smaller setting of the classroom. When they learn to work in small groups and have the tools to actually do and try the principles being taught, the more excited they get about learning.
My Project
With the students going 1 to 1 this year & learning to be responsible with having their own computers, I want to give them some support. I would like to provide some power cords students can use in the case they don't have a charged computer. This will allow them to have what they need to be fully involved in what we are doing in class.
The mirror scope & levitating light will puzzle the kids and get them curious and excited to learn and explain phenomenon related to our light and energy unit.
