Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are “Diamonds in the Rough:” budding thespians, singers, dancers and musicians who yearn for their souls to be heard. As Stella Adler, an American actress and acting teacher, said, “The theater was created to tell people the truth about life and the social situation.” The After School Drama Club for third through fifth graders will be performing Aladdin: Kids.

Your generous donation for an amplifier will connect the monitors on stage to the mixer, allowing my students to hear the music and listen to the other actors on stage.

We have started rehearsals for our musical and after 20 weeks of hard work, we will have performances in May, 2024. The amplifier is vital in our system for both the audience members and the actors on stage to listen to the songs, and hear the other actors perform their lines.

In addition your donation will last year after year, production after production, for many students in the future. Anytime a student performs on stage, whether it be for our Drama Club, the Fifth Grade Talent Show, or student assemblies for Hispanic Heritage Month, our students will be heard crystal clear. I’m excited to showcase our student’s talents while we are building their 21st century skills: critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.
