Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn, they are a very creative young group of kids. They are a very diverse group of students. They love using technology and it is very limited. For most of my students, the school setting is their only learning environment. Getting needed materials would help with each student's growth.

My Project

As we've learned during the COVID-19 pandemic, going to school in person is how children and teens learn best. The supplies that I'm requesting would help my team and me to try to minimize the spread of the virus while the students are in class. We would be able to protect ourselves from the youngest of students that can't be vaccinated. The face masks are a simple, proven tool to help stop the spread of the virus to students unable to get the vaccine or to those who may have a condition that puts them at higher risk of getting sick even if they have been vaccinated.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
