My Students

At our school, 70% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. The majority of our students are Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders who come from communities that are considered in low socioeconomic status. These communities are considered some of the toughest communities on the island of Oahu. I feel that our students are mentally tough; they come to school eager to learn. They are a little rough around the edges but once you show them that, as a teacher, you are there for them. they will do anything for you.

My Project

Over the years, my goal has always been to teach and guide my students. Now with the pandemic, one of my top priorities is keeping my classroom safe and clean for my students. For this project, I am requesting disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, hand soap, multi-surface cleaner, and face masks. These supplies will ensure that our classroom stays germ-free.

By having a healthy learning environment, it makes learning an enjoyable experience for everyone.

I would like to teach my students that we all take pride in our home and to make sure that our families live in a clean environment. Then the same thing should apply to our classroom, and it will show that everyone cares about their place of learning.
