My Project

The Battle of the Book team has grown from a handful of students to a class of over 20. Wow! Battle of the Books is a great opportunity for students to read fantastic books together and compete against each other to see who knows the most trivia from the titles. Students love to discuss which books they found the most engaging, and some of my students are definitely competitive about the trivia. The only downside of the program is that buying all those books can be very expensive!

Because we have so many students interested in this program, if I were to purchase 5 copies of every book on the Battle List, the total cost would be roughly $1,200.00.

Yikes! Fortunately, we have some titles already in the library, and my school’s PTA can help out. But we still need to fill in some gaps. Your donation would go towards purchasing some fantastic new books for students in order to help them engage in a community of readers (and maybe even place at the tournament in early 2026)! Thank you for your support!
