My Project

My students are filled with wonder and excitement! These 4th Graders are just starting to blossom into lifelong readers. They need a chance to interact with a variety of texts to help them find their reading niche. One of my 4th Graders pleaded with me:

"We need more books, teacher; every book I read adds a little bit of color and life to my brain!"

At our school, we are privileged to participate in America's Battle of the Books. This program selects many powerful titles for children to read throughout the year. As students form teams and work toward reading all the books on the list, they are reading wide, and learning to persevere with a text. Thank you for helping add color and life to the brains of my amazing 4th Grade students!
