My Students

My students are all very different, but all so very amazing. They are bright and spontaneous. They are caring and noble. They are determined to find their way in the world outside the school doors. My students live in a tight-knit urban community. My classroom is built as a safe haven for students to express themselves verbally, emotionally, and physically without penalty. My classroom is built upon good morals and fixing mistakes while appreciating the many different cultures our classroom community brings together. As middle schoolers, each and every one of my students is in the process of discovering who they are as individuals, making decisions in their present that will change and impact their futures forever. My students are all amazing. They don't need much to succeed because they are brilliant and resilient, but they deserve so much more than I can give them as their teacher!

My Project

This project included batting tees that our players need for on and off the field practice! The tee will be used for indoor practices, outdoor practices, and pregame warm-ups. These tees will help both our middle school and high school softball teams practice and improve their batting skills. We currently have no batting tees left for our outdoor practices due to overuse and damage to the ones we had previously. Getting new tees would be beneficial for our teams and be a great stepping stone in the right direction!
