Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Due to the growing interest in Womens Basketball after this year season, I am ever more motivated to get my students back in the game. Since the pandemic there has been a decline in youth sports, and it is up to us to get students back in the game. This upcoming school year will be very important to get a jump start as we have only 2 returning players. We will be rebuilding. This summer and the beginning of next school year will be spent on putting a basketball in the hands of girls who may have little to no experience.

So, as we prepare to rebuild our team and search for new talent, we need your help.

To prepare for this upcoming basketball season we will need a Slipp-Nott-Basketball Sticky Mat for games. This helps increase player safety and performance on the court. We constantly have to inflate our basketball, so an electronic air pump will help us be more efficient when we travel to other schools. The water bottle holders will help us keep the players hydrated and allow for easier storage. Additionally, the dry erase board will allow us to prepare players for game situations.
