Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are high-poverty, high-needs, and highly capable. We have a diverse population, which includes many varying socioeconomic levels, as well as students who qualify for various Special Needs programs, such as Intensive Learning Center, Intensive Academic Center, English Language Learners, Special Education, Challenge Program, and much more.
We provide many opportunities for extracurricular involvement and include arts as an important part of this.
Our kids are enthusiastic and motivated and really enjoy doing things that involve more than just sitting, reading, and writing. Our kids have great potential.
My Project
This project requests basic supplies (ink and pencils) which will help my students have quick access to printed copies, not only of my lesson plan pieces but also their own work! We will be providing students with Chromebooks, and they will be able to create their own compositions as well as work on music theory!
All students deserve to have their thinking honored and memorialized.
And they really need pencils and guiding materials prepared for them!
One way to use classroom materials (with this ink) is to be certain that any student can plug into the available technology and make themselves copies of their own work. Another is to be able to quickly provide them what they may need: a chord chart, or lyric sheet, or practice sheet!
