My Students
My students are twenty nine first graders in a Title I school in Brooklyn New York. Many of my students are English language learners, and they are eager to learn about the community that they call home. My students come from various backgrounds and are excited to talk and share about their culture and traditions and to bring their unique experiences to our classroom studies. My classroom is an enrichment class setting that allows students to be challenged across subject areas.
My Project
My first grade class loves to work and create!
We get messy but try our best to stay organized.
At any time of the day we are using paper. We use printer paper during writers workshop to tell the most imaginative yet realistic stories; we use paper during math to "show our work," we use paper during art to rip and create. We need tape and sticky tack to help display our work. We use different colored address labels to identify our work and we use Clorox wipes at the end of the day to clean it all up and to stay germ free.
