This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, whiteboards are an everyday learning tool—especially during math. Students use them during guided practice to record strategies, solve problems, and show their thinking so I can check understanding right away. When markers are dried out, erasers disappear, or boards get too stained to use, students have to stop and search for replacements or switch materials. Even when they handle it responsibly, it breaks their focus and can cause them to miss key instruction.

The classroom supplies on my list will make sure students always have what they need to use their whiteboards smoothly during math.

I’m also requesting materials that help us care for and maintain our classroom Chromebooks so they stay organized, protected, and ready for learning. When our tools work the way they’re supposed to, students can spend their energy on problem-solving—not on figuring out why their materials aren’t working.
