My Students

The intermediate students in my school are energetic and excited to learn! As everyone, they have good days and bad. Trying to make my classroom inviting for all is a goal.

Students like to come to my classroom because I like to learn while having fun!

I try to make learning fun and creative. This way students are eager to be engaged and learn. When students are engaged and having fun, they are learning without realizing it. You will typically see my students working in groups, small groups with me, or on Chromebooks. Students might be working together on STEM projects, which involves problem solving, building, and creating.

My Project

Over the past school year, many teachers have been leaving the profession. This leaves other teachers strained to take on more students or monitoring different case loads. The special education students at our school are excited and eager to learn.

Unfortunately, our 4th grade lost their special education teacher.

The students loved their teacher and the work they did with the students. As we have taken over this class to support our students’ learning, we realize that students don't have basic supplies or are very low on supplies.

We are limited on pencils, highlighters, and other basic supplies for academic work. Students sometimes come in with pencils but not always. Students come in willing to learn but lack certain supplies.

This project also supports incentives for students. We have raffle tickets to earn throughout the day for academic achievements, behavior achievements, and be able to acknowledge students. Every week we have a drawing for students to win prizes. Then these tickets go into an end of year jar. At the end of the year, we have small gift cards and donated gifts that students can win! The kids work their hardest for these awards!
