My Project

Being prepared for the first day of college is very much like the first day of kindergarten in that students need the basic supplies to be successful. Our students have worked very hard to reach this point, and I want to help reward them for their effort by providing some of the things they need to continue their success at the next level as a reward at our Decision Day celebration. During Decision Day, our students announce their next steps whether it be college, trade or directly joining the workforce. They tell what steps they have taken to help provide for this choice and conclude by leaving words of wisdom for underclassmen and thanks to their teachers and family.

I am hoping to provide my students with some of the essential tools they will need as they move forward in their career paths.

This project includes backpacks, pencils, sticky notes and colored pens. When paired with other series of projects the Essential Success bags will contain sturdy backpacks, pencils, pens, sticky notes, composition books and spiral notebooks which will be paired with financial literacy books so that my students will be able to continue the success they have found at the high school level and emerge ready to succeed with the skills they learned in high school and beyond and armed with the knowledge to build their financial success.
