This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year due to the pandemic and learning loss, many of my students are behind in their learning and need to catch up. I want to make sure that they are able to participate in as many hands-on, engaging activities as possible! We need to get back to the basics in the classroom. I am requesting items so my students can complete meaningful projects that they can be proud of over throughout this school year.
Every classroom needs basic supplies to get through the school year and in our school, we are only budgeted $100 for basic classroom supplies - obviously, this is not enough to get us through the entire school year.
These basic project items including duct tape, poster board, rubber bands, cups for water labs, a pot for heating water for experiments, and more - will go a long way toward getting us back to the normal place we all want to be in. Especially in a science classroom, where so much is written out in equations, word problems, and essays, my students will sorely need to have these items through the year.
