Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, every student deserves access to the basic tools they need to succeed. Single subject notebooks will provide my students with a consistent and organized place to complete daily writing tasks, take notes, and track their learning over time. Highlighters will help them engage more actively with texts by identifying key ideas and vocabulary, which supports reading comprehension and study skills. Pencils and eraser toppers ensure students can draft, revise, and reflect on their learning without worrying about making mistakes or lacking materials.

My goal for this project is to remove barriers to learning by ensuring that all students—regardless of background—have equal access to essential supplies.

Many of my students come to school without basic materials and feel embarrassed to ask for them. They are bright, creative, and hardworking kids who want to do well, and they thrive when given the tools to take participate in their learning. These supplies will help foster a supportive, well-equipped environment where they can focus on growth, not limitations.
