This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a special educator, one of my many jobs is to work with our special education students in small groups and teach basic reading skills. I love my 3rd-5th grade students. I love how resilient my students are. I know it can be frustrating to be in a class where you don’t know what’s going on and it takes you a little longer to comprehend compared to your peers.

These basic supplies will help my students be successful learners.

The supplies will be used to help my basic reading groups. The sheet protectors will be used to hold class work. The dry erase markers will be used to write on the sheet protectors. The colored paper will be used to make reading activities. The file folders will be used to collect student work samples. The telephones will be used by students so they can hear themselves read.
