Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are one big, happy family. Our Title I school is home to a large population (92%) of English language learners. My students face many challenges while living in a new country and attempting to learn a new language.

My three classes are filled with 75 eager students who love working together to complete various tasks.

My goal is to make their transition as smooth as possible in hopes of preparing them for great achievement. They are capable of greatness and will achieve.

My Project

The requested materials are basic supplies that will be used by students in various classes including 4 special needs classes. My goal is to assist special needs students with becoming on grade level readers. I want them to understand that their disabilities do not define them. Receiving these items would mean so much to the students and their families. Having paper, pens, and being able to label our materials, Kleenex, markers, snacks for testing days such as ice pops and oil to make our popcorn will truly be a blessing.

Having the requested basic supplies would allow our students to focus on their academics instead of their basic needs. The students work very hard and would appreciate receiving supplies to assist them in learning in their classrooms.
