Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at an elementary school where eighty-nine percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches. The majority of my students come from another country and are new to the ways of our education system.

The majority of my students come from low-income homes.

A large number of students are learning how to speak and read English for the first time. I have a combined grouping of students, ESOL, and special needs.

My Project

My project is to get some basic materials for inside the classroom.

Access to these materials will make our learning go smoother.

Being able to print student work, sharpen a pencil and write on a small whiteboard with dry-erase markers are just some of the basic supplies we are in need of for our class. Students love being able to write on an individual whiteboard and show their work. Having an electric pencil sharpener will help to keep my students writing and having ink to print would be wonderful.
