This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many newcomers come to our country without anything. Many of them don't have anything but the clothes on their back. They often have one set of dishes for the entire family and need soap to clean them. They often get sick because they don't have any soap to wash their hands or showers to wash germs off.

Many newcomers don't have anything but the clothes on their back.

Newcomers often don't have any backpacks or food at home. If I have candy for them, they will take some food home for their family. They are often shy and their culture takes pride in not taking anything. If I have candy, they will think it is snack and will take it. I can also give it away as prizes.
