Help me give my students the basic needs of the classroom. Copy paper, crayons, and pencils for learning. Dry erase markers for interactive whiteboard lessons. Permanent markers and clips for projects.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have many students with a lot of energy. They are so eager to share their everyday lives, likes, dislikes, excitements, and disappointments. I hope they find excitement and joy in learning.
Each day we learn foundational skills (emotional, social, academic) that are foundational building blocks to our futures.
We are understanding our choices affect others, and we want that impact to be a positive one.
I desire for them to do all they can, learn all they can, and be all they can. They all have a purpose!
My Project
Many of my students need the basics for the classroom, AND many were not able to/did not bring in school supplies. Many parents also would like to keep updated on and receive extra practice for student learning who do not have access to electronics at home.
Though there are interactive lessons with SmartBoards, students are still learning to write, build, and create, and so paper, crayons, and pencils are needed.
Instead of always using paper, we use dry erase boards and markers also for interactive learning. I flash dots, they write how many. I say sounds, they write letters. I give equations, they solve and show.
Due to Covid, we try not to share supplies and do our best to provide individual learning centers needing paper and cutting.
