Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class is filled with fifth graders who are eager to learn daily! While growing up in the inner city has its challenges, our fifth graders push through their adversity as they engage in literacy and explore science and math. Their desire to become more and surpass their circumstances makes teaching exciting!
As a product of this very district, investing in my students is investing in the community that gave me an opportunity.
These children are just as capable as their counterparts in other districts. They just need the same access to a plethora of resources to help level the playing field.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting in this project are needed year round. Students will use scissors weekly as they complete word study activities, and interactive notebook assignments.
The dry erase markers and pencils will come in handy while students work out word problems on white boards, and write assignments.
We all know that once the year begins, and the seasons begin to change noses start to get runny. Please support this porject to help provide hand sanitizer to keep our hands clean. Don't forget the clorox wipes to help keep our surfaces clean and prevent the spread of germs!
