This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My beautiful second graders live in a diverse community, and are beginning to understand the real world around them. They live in a high poverty, high traffic neighborhood with the school setting being their own little world. For this reason, I try to create a warm and welcoming classroom environment. My students have enjoyed coming to school where they feel safe and receive regular doses of knowledge and encouragement.

As the new year begins, our classroom supplies need to be replenished.

Please help by gifting us with basic supplies such as Kleenex, glue bottles, velcro coins, color toner, other classroom extras. My students use green "teacher pens" to self-correct their work. They can either print a star or write in the correct answer and learn from their mistakes. My students need velcro coins to keep their items in place. Art supplies like glue, popsicle sticks and origami paper make learning more fun. Kleenex boxes are always in need to wipe noses! Having access to color toner make pages and work pop! All these classroom basics DO make a difference.
